HomemakerLAKE WALES -- Mrs. Betty Ruth Smith of Lake Wales died of cancer Monday (April 28, 2003) at home. She was 69.Born in Winchester, Ky., on Dec. 21, 1933, she came to Lake Wales from Richmond, Va., 10 years ago. She was a homemaker. She attended Bethel Baptist Church and The Lord's Temple, both in Lake Wales.Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Robert Cole Smith; daughter, Terri Buchanan, Lake Wales; son, David Smith, Lake Wales; three grandchildren.Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at The Lord's Temple in Lake Wales. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Johnson Funeral Home, Lake Wales.
