SMITH, Betty Jean (nee Poisson) It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Betty Smith at 80 years of age who died peacefully at her home on October 1, 2002 after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of the late George (1976). Loving mother of Mike Bush and wife Lee of Puce; Bill Smith of Windsor; Geordie Belinski and husband Rod of Kelowna, B.C.; Jamie Smith and wife Caroline of London; Lorie Smith-Kaye and husband Michael of Vancouver, B.C; Suzanne Deneau and husband Geoff, Robert Smith, Kathy McEwen and husband Dave and Kerry Smith, all of Windsor. Dear grandmother of Michele and husband Michael Tocco; Ken Bush and wife Angie; Jennifer, Scott, and Laura Belinski; Blake and Logan Smith; Amanda, Lauren and Tad Kaye; Connor, Joel, and Molly Deneau; James and Kevin McEwen and great grandchildren Jordyn and Sydney Tocco. Dear sister of Pat O'Connor, Gloria Hargreaves and husband Dick, all of Belle River and predeceased by Dorothy Bush (1939). Dear sister-in-law of Irene Smith of Michigan and Jim Smith and wife Barb of Seattle, Washington. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Sacred Heart C.W.L. and a member of the E.I.C. The family would like to express their gratitude to Sherry, the V.O.N. staff, and Dr. Shael Liebman. In kindness memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor. Visiting Thursday 7-9pm and Friday 2-5pm and 7-9pm with Parish Prayers Friday at 8:00 pm. Funeral Saturday October 5, 2002 at 9:15 am from Janisse Bros. - Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Ave. (253-5225) then to Immaculate/Sacred Heart Faith Community at St. Michael's Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
