Betty MitchellLoving mother, grandmother, sister; 92 LOWELL -- Betty (May) Mitchell, 92 of Lowell passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at D'Youville Senior Care Center in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of the late Austin Mitchell who passed away in 1990.She was born in Dunmore, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Leo and Eva (McGowan) May.Betty is survived by her daughter, Gail Mitchell of Lowell; a grandson, Corey Mitchell of Texas; three great-grandchildren, Madison Johnson, Larissa Mitchell and Austin Mitchell all of Texas; a sister, Anita Sabatini of California, a sister-in-law, Lou May of Florida and a former daughter-in-law, Debra Mitchell of Texas and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son, Gary Mitchell, a grandson, Jesse Mitchell and her brother and sister, Leo May and Jane Wetzel.MITCHELL -- Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday from 11 am to 12:30 pm at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. Her Funeral Service will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
