MITCHELL, Betty L. (Henry) Age 76, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Wednesday, April 15, 2009. She was born on September 19, 1932 in Antrim, PA, a daughter of the late Frank and Bessie (VanOrder) Henry. She was the wife of the late Leonard Mitchell, Jr. who died on May 8, 2003. Betty was a nurse for many years then stayed home to be with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed watching birds, camping and puzzle books. She will be remembered as always having a smile no matter what. Betty is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard "Butch" and Barb Mitchell of Mansfield, PA, Michael and Dawn Mitchell of Wellsboro, PA; daughters and son-in-law, Joan Butler and Irwin Coons of Wellsboro, PA, Kathy and Mark Ruppert of Wellsboro, PA; sisters, Shirley Keck and Ellamae Spong both of Wellsboro, PA; brothers, Charles Henry of TX, Jerry Henry of CA; grandchildren, Bob (Sherry) Anderegg, Jeff Anderegg, Bridget (Mike) Covell, Jeremiah (Libby) Mitchell, Steph (Matt) Sweet, Jason Ruppert, Eric Ruppert, Kyler Mitchell and 8 great grandchildren. Betty was predeceased by 11 siblings. Friends may call on Saturday, April 18, 2009 from 10 to 11 AM at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., Wellsboro, PA. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with the Rev. Darwin "Tink" Cranmer officiating. Interment will be in the Wellsboro Cemetery.
