Betty June Amelia (Jeno) Craig, age 71, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008, in Quail Creek Skilled Nursing in Springfield, Mo. She was born August 1, 1936, in Fairbault, Minn., the daughter of Vernon Jeno and Minnie (Sanborn) Jeno. Betty and her husband Odis owned and operated the Plaza Garage and Craigs Repair in Springfield for 45 years. In all her years, Betty truly never met a stranger. Her strong personality, direct manner and dry humor made her a memorable figure in the lives of all who knew her. Betty was "MOM" to many- she will be deeply missed. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Yvonne L. Helfenbein, three brothers and a granddaughter, Megan Cragle. She is survived by her husband, Odis; her three daughters, Vicky D. Young of Elkland, Mo., Luwana M. Farris of Bolivar, Mo., and Robbin A. Cragle of Battlefield, Mo.; four sons, Dan Craig of Ozark, Mo., Allen Craig of Strafford, Mo., Russel Craig of Houston, Texas, and Steven Craig of Austin, Texas, one sister, Jane Sharp of Buffalo, Mo., one brother, Harold Jeno of Phelan, Calif., 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Walnut Lawn Funeral Home LTD, 2001 W. Walnut Lawn St., Springfield, Mo., where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Friday, March 14, 2008. Funeral services will be at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008, Rev. Ray Smith officiating. Interment will be in Maple Park Cemetery in Springfield, Mo.
