BETTY JOMORRIS, 81Bookkeeper LAKELAND - Betty Jo Morris, 81 of Lakeland, died Monday August 23, 2010 from complications resulting from a fall. A life-long resident of Lakeland, Betty was born February 1, 1929 to Titus George and Cora (Hicks) Smith. She was a member of Gapway Baptist Church and is a retired bookkeeper with Polk Pump. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, George Copeland Morris, Jr., her brothers, Roy & Ralph Smith and a sister, Christine Morrison. She is survived by her daughters, Lynn (Arby) Creach of Lakeland, Judy (Dean) Stavely of Lakeland and Sandra (Randy) Austin of Lutz; her sisters, Dorothy Castles and Carolyn McClelland both of Lakeland; grandchildren, Nic-holas Creach, Kyle and Devin Stavely, Jessica & Emily Austin and her faithful pet dog, Maya. Friends will be received from 6-8pm Friday at the Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes, Northside Chapel. Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday at the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place privately in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakeland Regional Medical Center Foundation Pallative Care Unit, P.O.
