Betty-Jean-McCord Carr, conjointe de Frisbie Carr, fille de Sidney et Sara, mère de Nancy Carr, Tx, Sara Carr et Rusty, est décédée le 29 décembre 2012.
CARR, Betty Jean McCord 90, a resident of St. Petersburg for 63 years, died on Dec. 29, 2012. She was born in Tampa, to Sara and Sidney McCord, & attended Gorrie Elementary, Plant High School and graduated from the University of Tampa. As a young teacher she moved to Wimauma to teach high school for a year. She then attended Carver School of Missions in Louisville and received a Master's Degree in Christian Education. Betty returned to Tampa and worked at First Baptist Church of Tampa, where she met her future husband, Frisbie Carr. They married on Nov. 15, 1946, and had three children. Betty was an active member of First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg for over 50 years and worked as a church secretary there for 10 years before retiring. Betty is predeceased by her husband, Frisbie; and her son, Rusty. She is survived by her two daughters, Sara Carr Black of Houston, TX and Nancy Carr Rucker of St. Petersburg; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
