SMITH - Betty Jane (nee Jewell), of Warwick, NY, formerly of Ridgewood and Trenton, went to be with the Lord peacefully on August 19, 2006. Beloved wife of 50 years to David M. Devoted mother of David J., Malcolm M. and Scott M. Loving grandmother of Matthew, Meghan, Tara, Katherine, Dana, Keri, Kayleigh, Morgan and Kieran. Daughter of the American Revolution, Betty loved history and the arts. Until recently, she devoted her time and energy to the Old Barrack Museum in Trenton. She was an active member of the College Club of Ridgewood and owned Bree's Corner in Warwick, NY. Bree, to her family, was the champion of their hearts. Visiting will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ 07450, 201-444-7650. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Cambridge, Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Old Barracks Museum, 20 W. State St., Trenton, NJ 08608.
