BETTY JANE DAVIS, 79Homemaker WINTER HAVEN - Mrs. Betty Jane Davis, age 79, a resident of Winter Haven, Florida passed away Sunday, December 28, 2008 at her residence with her family by her side, due to COPD. Mrs. Davis was born January 2, 1929 in Houston County, Alabama to Edna and Eula Lee (Chandler) Odom. She was a resident of Winter Haven since the late 1930's coming from Alabama. She was a homemaker, avid shopper, loved to travel, fish and garden. Betty was a member of the New Hope Ministries of Auburndale and loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Mrs. Davis is survived by her family: husband of 25 1/2 Years: Lewis J. Davis of Winter Haven, FL., 2 sons: Ray (Cathy) Gadd, Jr. of Land-O-Lakes, FL., George (Donna) Howard of Winter Haven, FL., 2 daughters: Linda (Mike) Sullivan of Winter Haven, FL., Brenda (Bobby) Nylen of Tallahassee, FL., 1 stepson: Larry G. Davis of Lakeland, FL., 2 step daughters: Betty (Ricardo) Barron of Phoenix, Arizona, Kathy (William) Ledford of Bartow, FL., 6 grandchildren: Michael Sullivan, Jr. John Sullivan, Erica Kirkland, Donald Howard, Casey Armstrong and Bobby Nylen, 7 step grandchildren: Michael Johnson, Dara Leins, Jamie Hutchinson, Nila Baldree, Talaya Arnold, Annie Ledford and Scott Ledford, 15 great grandchildren, 1 nephew and 2 nieces. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at the Kersey Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Auburndale Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements By: Kersey Funeral Home, Auburndale 967-1167.
