Betty Ruth James Mitchell, 76, Phil Campbell, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Russellville Hospital.Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012. Officiating at the service will be Brother Keith Prince and Brother Andrew Gasque. Burial will be at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Mount Star community.She was preceded in death by her husband, William Fred Mitchell Jr.; children, Rodger Dale Mitchell, Stanley Carl Mitchell, Freda Jo Mitchell; parents, Lawrence and Ada Mae Poss James; and brothers, Bobby James and Wallace James.She is survived by her daughters, Gwen (Jerry) Seal, Lisa (Randy) McDowell; daughter-in-law, Deb Mitchell; grandchildren, Kim (Kevin) Hargett, Jeremy (Faye) Seal, Robbie McDowell, Andy (Ashley) McDowell, Brittany (Jerry) Kaundart, Alex McDowell; great-grandchildren, Katey (Jr.) Hargett, Elizabeth Seal, Laura Seal, Ayden McDowell, Kaden McDowell; brothers, Charles (Jean) James, Clifford James; and several nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be James Harold Elliott, Jacob Black, Larry Peppers, Jonathan Wilson, Donnie Oldham and Sammy Mitchell. Honorary pallbearer will be Kalon Vincent.
