JEFFERSONVILLE JOHNSON, BETTY J. (SHECKLES), 56, departed her earthly life on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, surrounded by loved ones. Survivors include three daughters, Karen Sheckles, Regina Johnson (Rickey Smith) and Mary Ann Malone (Michael Bass); six sisters, Mary Ann Walker, Tammy Roberts (Donald), Linda Ragland (John), Kim Patton, Lorna & Karen Sheckles; eight brothers, James (Cozella), Charles (Terry), Melvin, Donald, Darrell, Dennis, Michael and Bruce Sheckles; four godsiblings, Monica, Robin, Andre and Don Tudor; and a best friend, Sharon Brown; 11 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, whom she loved. Funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church, in Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. Friday at the church. E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
