MILLER, Betty Gray "Betsy," passed away this past Valentine' s Day, February 14, 2009. She was in hospice, living with her eldest daughter and son-in-law in Houston, Texas, at the time of her demise. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., April 22, 1929, Betsy studied business before marrying Richard "Dusty" Miller, who predeceased her in 1995. She bore four daughters, three of whom, Michelle Miller, Celeste White and Darnelle Hopps, supported her throughout her courageous struggle with lung cancer. Betsy returned to the business world as a bookkeeper and joyfully worked in the accounting field in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Libertyville, Ill., and Houston, Texas. She retired to Brooksville, Fla., with her husband in 1993, joining her sister, Helen, and husband, John Campbell. Betsy took up golf and enjoyed gardening. Betsy was a shrew bridge player, known for her gutsy bidding and distinctive laugh. She had three grandchildren, Lindsey and Brad White and Rayn Hopps. Betsy' s friends and family will long remember her good humor. Her presence enriched our lives.
