Betty Earle Brookshire Bowman Johnson, 82, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014, in Life Care Center of Bardstown. She was the former Betty Earle Brookshire, a native of Fairfield, a former employee of C.G.&Y. Mini-Mart in Taylorsville, and of Country Mini Mart in Ohio, and was of the Baptist Faith.She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Bela Landrum Brookshire; her husband, Dewey "Plute" Bowman; a daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Mark Hammond; and a brother, Russell Brookshire.Survivors include a daughter, Connie (Donnie) Cherry, of Bardstown; her sister, Marie Bell, of Shepherdsville; a granddaughter, Stephanie (Rick) Lambert, and three great grandchildren, Hanna Geiger, Branden Blankenship, and Connor Lambert.The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Bro. Tom Sparrow will officiate. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, May 16, at the Houghlin Funeral Home. Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
