Betty Dean McKenzie, 77, of Bonifay, died Nov. 21, 2009 at Washington Rehab and Nursing Center in Chipley. She was born Dec. 22, 1931 in Enterprise, Ala. to the late Ollie and Thelma Thames Arrington. In addition to her parents, her husband, Chester McKenzie; one brother, Bobby Arrington and one sister, Peggy Arrington, precede her in death. She is survived by seven sons, Buster Radcliff and wife, Barbara and Willie Ratcliff and wife, Judy, all of Pensacola, Mike Ratcliff and wife, Teresia of Bonifay, John Ratcliff, Loyd McKenzie and David Ratcliff, all of Chipley, Andy Ratcliff of Marianna; two daughters, Teresa Lassitter and husband, Charlie of Chipley and Lynn Ratcliff of Ponce de Leon; two brothers, Jimmy Arrington and wife, Janette of Sherman, Texas and James Arrington of Newton, Ala.; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Services were held Nov. 24 at Campground Church in Holmes County with the Rev. Lavon Burke officiating. Interment followed in Meadowlawn Cemetery in Enterprise, Ala with Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay directing.
