Betty Carolyn White Smith Lakeland - Betty Carolyn White Smith, 76, died of Heart Failure October 26, 2006. She was born in Baxley, Georgia on May 7, 1930. She graduated from Kathleen High Strawberry School in 1950. She was a former Girl Scout Leader. She worked at Kraft Foods Canning Plant for 25 years before working as the Secretary and Treasurer for the family business B & D Installers in Kathleen. She is survived by her husband Harold 'POP' Smith of Lakeland Fl.; Sons, Blucher Smith, Deon Smith, Daughters, Kay Kersey, Tina Gray, Regina Clark, 14 grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great, Great Child, and she was known as Grandmother by all the children in the neighborhood. Visitation will held Monday October 30, 2006, 10:00 am followed by the Memorial Service 11:00 am at First Baptist Church at the Mall.
