BETTY C. MILLER1929-2008Betty C. Miller, 78, died peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday evening August 16, 2008 at a local facility. Betty was a lifelong resident of Pensacola. She met her husband shortly after World War II and married in 1946. A loving and devoted mother to her 5 children, she was a gourmet cook who was always so generous to family and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted & Mollie Southern; husband, Joseph E. Miller; brother, Edward and sisters, Susie, Margie, Peggy, and Melba.She is survived by her brothers, Richard Southern and Jack Southern of Pensacola; daughter, Teresa Dormer (Douglas), Kingwood, TX; daughter, Evelyn Miller of Pensacola; sons, Joseph Miller (Brenda), Richard Miller (Carol), Stephen Miller (Paula) of Pensacola; granddaughters, Christina Miller, Bossier City, LA, Nicole Miller, Pensacola; grandsons, Richard Roberts, Pensacola, Douglas Dormer, Jr. (Hillary), Dallas, TX and Jonathan Dormer (Emily), Dallas, TX; great grandchildren, Hannah Gafford, Jasmine and William Roberts, Hunter Miller, McClain, Jackson, and George Dormer.Respectfully serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Richard Roberts, Douglas Dormer, Jr., Jonathan Dormer, and nephew Jeffrey Miller. The family will receive friends 5-7pm, Monday August 18, 2008 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.Funeral services will be held 10:00am Tuesday, August 19,2008 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd, Pensacola, FL with Rev. Sherrill Isbell and Rev. John Childers of Pensacola Worship Center Church officiating. Burial will follow at Roberts Cemetery.The family wishes to thank the staffs of Sabal House and Health Center of Pensacola for the loving care given to Betty during her illness with Alzheimers.
