HALL Betty Anne (Hawkins) Hall, 71, of Fernandina Beach, passed away April 28, at the Northeast Florida Community Hospice facility at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville after a lengthy illness. She was a retired Registered Nurse from Baptist Hospital, Nassau in Fernandina Beach. She began her nursing career in 1956 as a graduate of Fairmont General Hospital School of Nursing in Fairmont, West Virginia. For over fifty years of nursing service she has worked as a floor nurse, a doctors office, a Veterans Administration psychiatric nurse, hospital infection control, diabetic educator, quality control and home health. Betty, is survived by her Husband of 50 years, Larry and their four Sons, Mark, of Valrico, Florida, Jeffrey, of Avon, Connecticut, Carlin, of Remington, Virginia, and Timothy, of Houston, Texas. She has 6 Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an older Sister Dorothy and has three living Sisters, Mary Hoskinson, of Fairmont, West Virginia, Monia Rae Williams, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Sandy Bennett, of Morgantown West Virginia. Betty was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Fernandina Beach. Betty, will be dearly missed by a loving family and friends. Service will be held at the Oxley-Heard Funeral Home in Fernandina Beach, Saturday May 13, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Bruce Jones presiding. Friends will be received Friday evening from 5 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
