JOHNSON, Betty Ann March 28, 1933 – February 2, 2017It is with deep sadness that we announce that Betty Ann Johnson (nee Johnson) has gone to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Mom died peacefully on February 2, 2017 at the age of 83 after a life altering stroke. Mom was a wonderful Mother, devoted Grandmother, beloved Aunt, and great Friend. She was devoted to her family and her church. Mom loved life. She enjoyed traveling and visited Australia, Europe, Israel, the US and many other places. She was actively involved in Christian Women''s Club, Sunday School, swimming lessons, ceramics, and bowling. She continued to swim into her late 70s. Mom''s memory will live on in her children, Mark (Nancy) Johnson, Scott Johnson, Darren Johnson and April (Darrell) Pitts and their father Elmer Johnson; as well as in her grandchildren, Christopher (Angela) Johnson, Rebecca Johnson, Megan Pitts, Bryce Pitts and Jasmine Johnson; great- grandchildren, Austin and Casey Johnson; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson Andrew Brooks, as well as her siblings M. Waring (Phyllis) Johnson, Alice (Larry) Sumner, and Charlie (Ethel) Johnson. We take comfort that she is giving Jesus one of her famous hugs. A celebration of her life will be held at Evangelical Free Church, 28 Westland Road, Okotoks on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. The family requests that In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Samaritan''s Purse or the Salvation Army.
