Betty Edwards Ragan Anderson, 78, formerly of Landrum, died Sept. 4, 2005, at the home of her daughter in Irmo, S.C.A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Baylis Earl and Docia Vehorne Edwards, the widow of Clyde Anderson, and was first married to the late Linwood Ragan.She was a member of Landrum United Methodist Church, The Landrum Quilters and a Legionnaires Square Dance Club.She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Joseph of Ballentine, S.C.; and a stepson, Jimmy Anderson of Landrum; four stepdaughters Lucille Campbell of Greer, Linda Parker of Taylors, Teresa Quinn of Greer, and Wanda Wood of Greer; a granddaughter, Andrea Joseph; 18 stepgrandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a stepson, Robert Anderson; a brother, Andrew Edwards; and a sister, Juanita Peeler.The family will receive friends Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Petty Funeral Home.
