BETTIE NEWKIRKBROWN, 73Registered Nurse LAKE WALES - Ms. Bettie Newkirk Brown age 73 of Lake Wales died on December 23, 2007 of heart disease. She was a native of Douglas, Georgia. She moved to Lake Wales in 1980 and later moved to Winter Haven and moved back to Lake Wales a year ago. She attended Fort Valley State College. She Was member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist of Lake Wales and No. 2 Usher Ministry and Shepherd Care Ministry. Member of Order of Eastern Star and American Legion Veteran Auxiliary Moultry - Craft Unit 213 of Lake Wales. Survivors include her daughter, Daisy E. Buchanan and son in law, Don of Douglas, Georgia; brother, James "JJ" Grier of Lake Wales; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; one god daughter, Wanda Lawson of Lake Wales. VISITATION : Friday 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Shiloh Missionary Missionary Baptist Church 343 D Street. SERVICES : Saturday 11 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church.
