HARRIS, BESSIE RUTH HOUSMAN, 91, of Jeffersontown, died Thursday, November 10, 2005, at Hurstbourne Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 22, 1914, in Cincinnati, OH. She served as a Sergeant with the United States Womens' Army Corps during World War II. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Harris, in 1992, who was a longtime employee of General Electric. She is survived by sisters, Aileen Housman Greggs and Cleo Beckman Wassink; a brother, Fred Housman; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Evergreen Funeral Home, with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon Saturday until time of service.
