Mrs. Bessie Audrie Bolton Owens, age 86, of Cherokee, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. today at Cherokee Church of Christ. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. at the church, with burial in Harris Chapel Cemetery. Brother Rickey Collum will officiate.Mrs. Owens was a member of Cherokee Church of Christ and was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Owens; daughter, Martha Raye Owens; parents, Roy and Lizzie Bolton; brother, Hubert Bolton; and sister, Effie Miller.She is survived by her brothers, Huston Bolton (Jackie), Cherokee, and Eugene (Bill) Bolton (Syble), Iuka; sisters, Ruby Bradshaw (John), Glendale, and Willodean Russo (Joseph), Detroit.Nephews serving as pallbearers include Ray Bolton, Cody Fuller, Doug Johnson, Ray Nunley, Tim Smallwood and Brandon Wesson.Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee, is directing.
