AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Bessie Mae Williams of Hawthorne Drive entered into rest Sunday, December 11, 2005 at the Doctors Hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 16, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at First Ebenezer Baptist Church, Hephzibah with Rev. Moses Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Williams was a native of Richmond, Co. , Ga. and had lived in St. Albans, N.Y. most of her life before moving back to Augusta nine years ago. She was a member of First Ebenezer Baptist Church, Hephzibah. Survivors are one son, George (Bridget) Williams, Jr., Augusta; one daughter, Tonya (Douglas) Burley, Augusta; four sisters, Mamie Davis, Martinez, Doris Haynes, Patricia Bussey, Augusta and Althea Simmons, Hephzibah; three brothers, Melvin (Evelyn) Wright, Ernest Bussey, Michael 'Ben' Bussey, Augusta; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; devoted friends, Ann Clarke, Willie Stalworth, St. Albans, N.Y. and Justine Steward, Augusta; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Williams Funeral Home, 1765 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
