ALLEN, Bertha J. age 88 of Spring Hill, Fla. passed away Saturday, April 2, 2005 at Hernando Pasco Hospice Care Center in Brooksville. Born in Buchanan Co., Va. She came to the area twenty five years ago from Elkhart, Ind. She was a homemaker, raised 4 children and wife for seventy years. She was a past member of the Church of Christ in Elkhart, Ind. She is preceded in death by her husband Denver Allen; son, Benny Allen; daughter, Betty Lou Searer; grandson, Daniel Allen. Survivors include her son, Eugene and wife Kathy Allen of Elkhart, Ind.; daughter, Patricia and son in law Bobbie DeWeese of Spring Hill; grandson, Kirk and wife Tracey DeWeese of Kokomo, Ind.; 2 great grandsons, Christopher DeWeese of Kokomo, Ind. and Daniel DeWeese of Arcadia, Ind.; 2 great-granddaughters, Brianne and Danielle Allen; 1 great-great-granddaughter, Alicia Allen. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Garden in Osceola, Ind. Arrangements by Turner Funeral Homes Spring Hill Chapel.
