Bertha I. Hoehnof VestalBertha I. Hoehn, 85, of Vestal, formerly of Sarver, Pa., passed away at her home, Saturday, January 6, 2007. She was predeceased by her husband, William J. Hoehn in 1990. Also predeceasing her were her five sisters, Jesse, Lucille, Lena, Betty and Rosa; and one brother who died at birth. She is survived by one son and his fiancee, Jeffery D. Carr and Linda Milligan, both of Vestal; two grandsons, Evan and Ryan Carr, Vestal; several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to her caregiver and friend, Gloria Wilbur. Bertha was a former resident of Sarver, Pa., prior to moving to Vestal. She was retired from Saxonburg Ceramics, Saxonburg, Pa., and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Butler, Pa.A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2007, at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Michele Fischer, Pastor of the Holy Nativity Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be at the family's convenience in the Butler Memorial Park, Butler, Pa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 p.m. until service time at 7 p.m. Those wishing may make contributions in Bertha's memory to the Hospice Program at Lourdes Hospital Foundation Hospice Unit, 169 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
