JONES - Bernice Margaret (nee Edland) Passed away after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer on 30 May, 2014. Bernice worked for over 40 years as a medical office assistant (M.O.A.) in North Vancouver and was President of the North Shore Chapter 10 of the M.O.A.'s. Bernice is predeceased by her mother Margaret Martha Edland (need Stranberg) and her husband John (Frederick Johnston). Bernice is survived by her brother Bob Edland and Phyllis and nephews Mark (Jo-Anne), Guy (Merrill), Scott and niece Dawn. We would like to take this opportunity to express sincere gratitude to Dr. Susan Chow and the staff of Lions Gate Hospital Palliative and the North Shore Hospice for their exemplary care for Bernice. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Saturday, 14 June, 2014 at 2 pm at First Memorial Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, BC. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Lions Gate Foundation would greatly be appreciated.
