JONES, Bernice Elizabeth July 6, 1914 - August 17, 2009 Our family is sad to announce the passing of Bernice Jones, who passed away peacefully on August 17, 2009. Bernice is survived by her children Heather Lynn Draper and Allan (Joan) Jones. Left to remember are her granddaughters Susan (Mark) Bernardi, Lisa Mukai (Sean Chernesky), Kimberly Oksanen and grandson William Oksanen. Great-grandchildren Brianna, Michael, Jaclyn, Melissa, Arik, Kyle, Devon and Melody, as well as extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her loving husband Sydney, parents George and Mary Ellen McConnell, sister Alpha, brothers William (Mac), Allan, Harold, and Archie. A Special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph's Auxiliary Hospital, Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, Allen Grey Continuing Care Centre, and Churchhill Manor Retirement Residence, Dr. Z. Chrzanowski and Dr. A. Parrish and a special thank you to Tony Eiley for her tender loving care. At the family's request no services will be held at this time. A family gathering will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the St. John's Ambulance (12304-118 Avenue, Edmonton AB T5L 5G8).
