SOUTH BERWICK, Maine — Bernard Nadeau, 67, of Berwick Estates, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital after a period of failing health.He was born in Somersworth on July 17, 1937, and was the son of Euclide and Eva (Perreault) Nadeau. He was raised in Somersworth and attended school at the Biddeford Pool. He also attended the LaSalette Seminary in Enfield, N.H. and attended Loyola Univ. in Baltimore, Md. He had lived in the Somersworth-Berwick area most of his life.After receiving his education, he went on to serve with the U.S. Army during the 1950’s.Family members include his brothers, Julian Nadeau of Biglersville, Pa., Armand Nadeau of Lady Lake, Fla., and Florian Nadeau of Berwick. He leaves his sisters, Prudence Broniski of Florida, Solange Turgeon of Somersworth, Estelle Lauze of Berwick and a half sister, Laurianna Gagnon of Somersworth; many nephews and nieces.Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Laurent and Raynald Nadeau.Calling hours at Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South St., Somersworth, N.H. will be on Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in St. Martin Catholic Church, W. High and Maple Streets with the Rev. Aaron Pfaff, pastor, as celebrant.Burial will follow in the family lot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth.
