PETERS, BERNARD LOUIS- Bernard Louis "Bernie" Peters beloved husband of Bonnie (Brennan) Peters of 40 Pauline Street passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on July 23rd, 2007. Born 1950 in Digby, N.S to the late Joseph and Doris (Brooks) Peters. Besides his wife, Bernie is survived by his three sons Jason (Amy) Peters, Mark (Melissa) Peters and Glen Peters all of Saint John; sisters Theresa (Harold) Brooks of Hanover, ON, Valerie (Jean) Paradis of Winchinton, MA, Shirley (Peter) Clarke and Joan "Loretta" (Bryce) Foster both of Glooscap First Nation, Hansport, N.S, Marilyn (Richard) Perkins of Hansport, N.S, Lorraine (Tom) Whitman of Lawrencetown, N.S, Darlene (Ken) Copeland of Truro, N.S; brothers Ronald (Sue) Peters of Saint John, Leonard "Larry" (Terry) Peters of Wilmont N.S, Lynwood "Woody" Peters of Truro, N.S, Sidney (Darlene) Peters of Debert, N.S.; six grandchildren Drew, Mercedes, Brownyn, Odessa, Damien and Carter. Besides his parents Bernie was predeceased by two brothers Glen and Lester. Bernard worked for Irving Paper for 30 years retiring in 2006 and was a member of the Glooscap First Nations in Hansport, N.S. He was a cherished and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. At Bernie's request no visitation will be held. Following cremation a private family service will be held. Donations in his memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Diabetes Association. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424).
