Bernard C. Stewart -->Bernard C. Bernie Stewart, of Braintree, formerly of Ft. Myers, FL and Quincy, died on March 23, 2013 at the age of 88. He grew up in Quincy and graduated from Quincy High School. Bernie served during WW II in the Navy on the USS Yorktown and later worked more than 40 years for New England Telephone and NYNEX. Beloved husband of the late Agnes G. (Pitts) Stewart. Loving father of Bernard C. Stewart Jr. and his wife Wendy Hayes of Pocasset, James Stewart and his wife Jacqueline of Braintree, Mary Anne Boeleskevy and her husband Andras of Needham, Maureen Stewart Spillane and Bob Kowalewski of Quincy, Marilynn Talley and her husband Wayne of Littleton, Marla Woods and her husband Bob of Canton, Marie Poulos and her husband Chris of Colchester, CT, Alan Stewart and his wife Barbara of Braintree, Marissa Stewart White of Portsmith, RI and the late Donald Stewart. Cherished grandfather of Paul, Kate, Sarah, Peter, Anna, Steve, Meghan, Dan, Melissa, Michael, Heather, Tracy, Vickie, Matt, Dawn, Jen, Nick, Lindsay, Pat, Liz, Hannah and Karla and great-grandfather of Cora, Donald, Aidan, Madison and Ronan. Reposed at the Cartwright -Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree until 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church. Visiting hours were Tuesday, March 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
