AVON PARK - Benjamin Eugene Casey, age 50 passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 in Avon Park, Florida. Mr. Casey was born in Lake Wales, Florida to Hollis Edwin Casey and Willa Diane (Penny). Mr. Casey was a Correctional Officer for the State of Florida, he loved hunting and fishing and was a lifelong resident of Avon Park, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Casey of Avon Park; parents, Diane and Al Hawkins of Avon Park, and Hollis and Linda Casey of Frostproof; children, Makayla Casey of Wauchula, Jessica Brumley of Okeechobee, Brittney Brumley of Avon Park, Amber Clark of Avon Park, Ashton Clark of Avon Park, Jason Clark of Okeechobee and Brittney Casey of Avon Park; sisters, Kara Casey of Frostproof and Kathy Schmidtt of Germany; step brothers, Stephen Hawkins and Alan Hawkins; one grandchild, Comer Rainer. Visitation was held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, April 21, 2014 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, Florida. Funeral services were 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Avon Park. Pastor Jon Beck officiated.
