Benjamin Christian Hale, 7, of Gum Branch passed away Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at home, with family by his side, while under the care of hospice.Benjamin was born Oct. 9, 2006, in Hinesville to Bobby and Heather (Jones) Hale and was a lifelong resident of Liberty County. He attended Taylors Creek Elementary School, where he was a first-grader. Benjamin loved playing with his sisters and Renee. He also loved to fish, ride his four-wheeler, ride on the lawn mower with his daddy and play in the dirt.Benjamin was just an awesome little boy with a contagious smile that would light up a room. He touched so many lives in his seven years here on Earth. Benjamin will be greatly missed by so many.Survivors are his parents, Bobby and Heather Hale of Gum Branch; sisters, Anastasia Mae Bell and Dakotah Dyann Hale of Gum Branch; maternal grandmother, Ann Elizabeth Jones of Allenhurst; numerous aunts and uncles, family and friends.Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at Gum Branch Baptist Church, 8590 Highway 196 West, Hinesville.Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Gum Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. David Daus officiating.Pallbearers will be Don Hale, Brandon Hale, James Hale, Jason Smiley, Brian Smith, Sean Heath, Chris Preble and Tim Blanton.In lieu of flowers, donations in care of the Hale family can be made to any Heritage Bank location.Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
