BREAUX BRIDGE - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at a Mass of Christian burial Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Belzire Marie Blanchard, 97, of Parks, who died Sunday, March 27, 2005, at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge.Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Allen Breaux.Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.She is survived by one son, Waldon "Temon" Blanchard and his wife, Louella; another daughter-in-law, Gloria Blanchard, all of Parks; ten grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.Mrs. Blanchard was preceded in death by her husband, Darmas Blanchard; one son, Garland "T-Neg" Blanchard; her parents, Dorcile and Alicia Barras Frederick; two sisters, Odette Melancon and Ada Theriot; and six brothers, Alexson, Ludon, Elus, Hector, Ovey and Arista Frederick.The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. Monday and will continue from 7 a.m. today until time of service.A rosary was recited Monday evening.Pallbearers will be Marty Blanchard, Nicholas Guidry, Joseph Latiolais, Jeremy Melancon, Seth Schexnayder and Bert Blanchard.Honorary pallbearers will be Waldon Blanchard, Merlin Guidry and Randy Savoy.Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge, (337) 332-2111, is in charge of arrangements.
