Beatrice V. Melancon of Seguin, TX passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2005 at the age of 84 years. She was born November 8, 1920 in Des Allemands, LA and is a former resident of New Orleans. Survivors include her daughter, Susan Blumberg and husband Fred; grandsons, Matt Blumberg and wife Liza and Kevin Blumberg and wife Jennifer; great-granddaughter, London Blumberg; sisters, Alberta Griffin and husband Calvin, Vera Butler, Dolores Breaux and husband Wilder, Yvonne Dumas, Geraldine Aucoin and husband Joseph and Gail Brooks and husband Leslie; sister-in-law Geraldine Boudreaux and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Charles Joseph and Albertine Savoie Boudreaux; husband, John J. Melancon and brother, Charles Boudreaux. Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Blumberg, Kevin Blumberg, Butch Bakies, Billy Bravender, Warren McDonald, Cal Griffin, Lonny Boudreaux, Mike Dumas, C.J. Aucoin, Blaine Bakies and Blainey Bakies. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park. Parlors will be open Monday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM with Rosary recitation at 7:00 PM.
