ObituaryBeatrice Perry died February 27, 2004 of a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Orleans, LA., on Sept. 22, 1918, to Mr. & Mrs. James M. McCandlish. Bitsy was a longtime resident of Washington, D.C. A volunteer in Washington, at both the Washington Home and St. Anne's Parish. Mrs. Perry moved to Heron's Glen, N. Ft. Myers in 1999 where she was an active, and loved resident. Mrs. Perry also was a valued volunteer at Cape Coral Hospital. She has just been awarded her pin for 1500 hours of service. Bitsy had a never ending love of family and was known for her keen sense of humor and wit. She was a woman of elegance, and uncompromising principles, and will be remembered for always seeing life's humor and enjoying a good laugh. Remaining behind to cherish her memories is her sister Barbara McCandlish Clark, her nieces Jean McKenna, Barbara Hayden, Duggan Peak, Delia Clark, grand nieces and nephews, Carol McKenna Tucker, Rick Mckenna, Robert McKenna, Maryanne McKenna, Suzanne Goldberg and a score of great grand nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Coral Ridge. Memorial Contributions may be made in her honor to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Ft. Myers, FL 33908. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
