BATZKA David Lee Batzka, age 61, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2002 in a local hospital. He was a native of Indiana, but resided in Jacksonville for the past 28 years. He was a Gerontologist. He was an ordained minister for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), having served the elderly at Florida Christian Center in Jacksonville, Taylor Residences of Jacksonville and Advent Christian Village of Dowling Park, FL. He was a member of The Florida Association of Homes for the Aging and The American Association of Homes for the Aging. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Vickie Batzka; 2 daughters, Candice Watson (Blake Mills) and Diana Leigh Batzka; grandson, Gareth Watson-Mills and a brother Stephen Batzka. Memorial services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at Riverside Avenue Christian Church with Richard Hull officiating.
