Barry Lee Black HAMILTON - Barry Lee Black, 67, of Hamilton, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton, Hamilton, NJ. Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident who took pride in giving back to the community and helping many people. Barry enlisted in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. Barry started his career in construction and had his own construction company for many years. Later in his career he was Vice President and Chief Loan Officer of an organization that offered financing for non-profit organizations involved with providing affordable housing developments across the country. He retired after almost 30 years of work then he dedicated his time towards his life's passion of helping others. Barry volunteered with various charitable organizations and worthy non-profits as a board or committee member and was active in his church and other local organizations. His most recent contributions included work with Visitation Home, Inc. where he was Vice President of its Board of Directors and was both instrumental and an active participant in the construction of its third residence. In the past, Barry also has sat on the Board of Directors for Enable, Inc. and other organizations empowering those in need. Barry was a kind and gentle man. He was a devoted husband who loved his wife, children and family very much. He adored his children and grandchildren; they were his pride and joy. He will be missed dearly by everyone. Predeceased by his grandparents, Irene and William Black, his parents, Charles Hineline and Dorothy Poole, and his brother, William Black; he is survived by his wife of 48 years, Antoinette (Toni) Black of Hamilton; his daughter and son-in-law, Yvette (Black) and Thomas Ehring; his son, Barry K. Black, all of Hamilton; his daughter-in-law, Tracey DeAmicis (Black) of West Deptford; his grandchildren Nicholas, James, Barry K., Jr., Emma, and Brayden, all of Hamilton. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church, 555 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ 08620. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum, Hamilton, NJ. Family and friends may visit on Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Barry's memory to Visitation Home, Inc., P.O. Box 11242 Hamilton, NJ 08620. www.saulfuneralhomes.com
