Mr. Barry Edwin Smith - STATESBORO - Mr. Barry Edwin Smith, 39, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Barry was born in Savannah and lived most of his life in Bulloch County. He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin O. Smith. Barry was a member of Brooklet First Baptist Church where he played the drums in the praise band. Barry loved spending time with his daughters. He was employed with Gulfstream. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer L. Edwards Smith, daughters, Hannah Grace Smith and Haleigh Faith Smith, all of Statesboro; mother, Gail Smith of Brooklet; grandmother, Myrtice W. Smith of Brooklet and a number of other family members. Visitation: 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral: 2 p.m. on Thursday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery on Dean Forest Road.
