July 10, 1943-July 24, 2010Barbara H. White, 67, went to be with the Lord last Saturday, July 24, 2010, after losing her battle with lung cancer. She died peacefully at her home in North Carolina, where she had resided for three years. Before then, Barbara had long resided in Gadsden and Anniston. She leaves behind many family and friends, including her three daughters, Wendy White Locklar, Columbus, Ga., and Dawn White Thompson and Farah White, both of Raleigh, N.C. She is also survived by her sister, Genna Caine, Anniston. Her extended family includes eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, as well as many other beloved family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 7, 2010, at First Baptist Church of Saks, located at 4723 Saks Road in Anniston.
