ALBERTA Barbara Taylor Alberta, 48, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2002. A native of Jacksonville, she resided in Fernandina Beach since 1979. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Earl Timothy Alberta, Sr.; daughter, Bettina Alberta; step-children; Earl Alberta, Jr. (Renee) and Sylvia Payne (James) of Fernandina; Karen Pratt (Michael) of Miami and Terrance Alberta of Dallas, Texas; 6 grandchildren; brother-in-law, Paul Alberta (Ray) of Fernandina; devoted friend and sister-in-law, Frankye Flowers, Josephine Roberts (Nathaniel) and Dorothy Simmons of Jacksonville; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 9, 2002 at the Elm Street Church of God, 502 Elm Street, Fernandina Beach, FL, with Rev. Kelvin Cobaris officiating. Interment will follow at Bosque Bella Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, 6-8 p.m. at Huff and Battise Funeral Home, 410 Beech Street, Fernandina Beach.
