SMITH Barbara (Champagne) Smith, age 77, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Charles Smith entered eternal life Wednesday, June 25, 2008 in Bridgeport Hospital. Mrs. Smith was born October 20,1930 in Bridgeport daughter of the late Richard and Lillian Champagne. Barbara was a life area resident and was a member of the Baldwin Center Bereavement Group and a volunteer with the New Port Richie, FL Hospice. Survivors include a son, Charles P. Smith, Jr. and his wife Karen of Shelton, and their children, Amanda and Michael; son, John Smith of Melbourne, Florida; daughter, Holly Bova and her husband Bob, of Milford and their children, Kyle, Jaime, and Ryan; daughter, Charlene Carroll and her husband Brian of Shelton, and their children, Lindsay and Christopher, two brother in laws William and Joseph Smith and three nieces and one nephew. Friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday June 28, 2008 at 9 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main Street, Stratford and at 10 a.m. in Saint Mark's Church, Stratford for a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton.
