Barbara J. Smith, of 1522 Ridge Road, died on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at her home. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Andy and Ruby Simpson McCrary.Survivor: Husband, William J. Smith; daughters, Jacqueline Diane Smith Granderson of Atlanta, Ga., Dana Smith Gordon and Dimples Antone Smith, both of Greenville; son, William "Hurk" Smith of Greenville; sisters, Evelyn Mayes, Doris Bohannon, Freda McCrary and Gwen McCrary, all of Greenville and Gloria Dennis of Atlanta, Ga.; brothers, Theron "Lucky" McCrary of New Haven, Conn., Andy, Clarence, Charles and Steve McCrary, all of Greenville; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.Funeral Service: Monday, 2 p.m. at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. -- Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary.The family is at the home.
