SHAW, Barbara Jean (nee Wentland)Peacefully at Miramichi Lodge on Wednesday December 25, 2013 at the age of 81 years. Beloved wife of the late John Shaw, who was formerly president of Herb Shaw and Sons Ltd. Barbara was predeceased by her parents Harry and Erna (nee Biesenthal) Wentland and her brother-in-law Donald Shaw. Lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law and brother- in-law Mernie and Rodney James of Okotoks Alberta, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Herb and Maureen Shaw of Pembroke and her sister-in-law Shirley Shaw of Pembroke. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Barbara was born in Eganville and was a longtime employee of the Province of Ontario Savings Bank. Barb's family is deeply grateful to Marion Deloughery and Louise Cracknell for leading Barbara's compassionate and loving personal care team. A big thank you to a very special Nurse, Christine Rossi and staff at Miramichi Lodge. Barbara often said " I had a good life". Friends are invited to share their memories of Barbara with her family during visitation at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Pembroke on Friday, December 27 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, December 28, after 9:30 a.m. until the time of Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Spring Interment Lake Dore Point Church, Cemetery.
