Barbara G. Morris DELTONA, FLA.- Barbara G. Morris, 80, of Deltona, Fla., left this world on May 10, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She fought a long and courageous battle with COPD right up to the very end. She was born Feb. 8, 1934 in Kingston, and resided in Kingston and Lake Katrine for many years before retiring to Florida. She leaves behind her devoted husband of almost 60 years, William J. Morris, Jr.; two sons, William J. Morris III and his wife Valerie also of Deltona, Fla., and Jeffrey P. Morris of Saugerties; daughter, Noreen Morris-Woerner and her husband Michael of Kingston; as well as the grandchildren she adored so much: Keri Morris, Tara Perry, Shauna Vinci and Jessica Morris. Her only grandson William J. Morris IV predeceased her. She also leaves behind six great-grandchildren: Michael Myer, Elijah Harrell, Sienna Davis, Ryu Vinci, Layla Vinci, and Jazmine Morris; sisters, Coreen Phillips and her husband Ron, Nora Haight and her husband Jon; and two brothers, Harry VanVliet III and his wife Janet, and Lawrence VanVliet and his wife Gloria. She was predeceased by one sister Margaret Breithaupt and one brother William VanVliet. Many neices, nephews, and cousins also survive. She was under the compassionate care of Vitas Hospice of Daytona, Fla. and her cremation was private.
