Barbara "Bebe" MartinCLEMSON, S.C.Barbara "Bebe" Garrison Martin, 86, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 9, 2015 at St. Francis Regency Hospital, Greenville, South Carolina after a lengthy illness.Born November 24, 1928 in Sandy Springs, SC, she was the firstborn child of the late Samuel Albert and Lillie Lee Seawright Garrison. Growing up, she and her family were members of Mount Zion Presbyterian Church. Currently, she was a member of East Clemson Baptist Church.Barbara loved her family and left them with many wonderful memories that each of them will cherish. She loved going on trips, reading, solving the daily crossword puzzles, playing Solitaire, and finding humor in everyday life. Her advice was often sought and followed. She led her life in a way that has left a legacy of how life should be lived.Surviving are two daughters, Lynn Martin Ridgeway (Vin) and Tracey Martin; two sons, Roy Martin (Elaine Richardson) and Kenny Martin (Janet); five grandchildren, Christie Ridgeway Roller, John Ridgeway, Adam Martin, and Aaron and Trevor Sorrels; two great grandchildren, Ethan and Nathaniel Roller; a sister, Margaret Garrison Brock; a brother, Richard M. Garrison, and many nieces and nephews.Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Calvin L. Martin; her stepmother, Faye Martin Garrison; and her brother, Larry Garrison.A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2015 at East Clemson Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Gene Gilliam. A private burial at Memory Gardens will be held prior to the service.
