MORRISON, Barbara Alice (nee Cornish) February 7, 1917 - Lethbridge, ABApril 13, 2013 - Calgary, AB It is with sadness we announce that Barbara Alice Morrison of Calgary passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the age of 96 years. She was the beloved wife of Gordon A. Morrison who died January 8, 1978. Barbara will be dearly missed by her son, Graydon and his wife Dorothy; her sisters, Muriel Ronak and Gertrude McInnis; her brothers, Dr. David Cornish and Dennis (Janette) Cornish; her grandchildren, Greg Morrison, Jodi (Ian) Hall, Janine (Scott) Balance; great-grandchildren, Seth and Jade Dorothy Balance and Graydon Hall. Barbara lived a full and active life and was a gift to all that knew her. Her prayers were answered when she died April 13, 2013 with Graydon and Dorothy at her side. Our grateful thanks are extended to the management and staff at Colonel Belcher Seniors Residence where Barbara resided for ten years prior to moving to the Beverly Centre in Midnapore. Her new friends (staff and residents) at the Beverly meant so much to Barbara and to Graydon and Dorothy. Thank you all for your care and kindness. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on June 1, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice. In living memory of Barbara Morrison, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
