BROWN, MRS. BARBARA L. - age 76, of Knoxville, passed away September 13, 2014 after a short illness. Mrs. Brown was born on May 17, 1938 in Scott County, TN to the late Arnold and Pauline Phillips. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Mr. Billy Ray Brown. Mrs. Brown is survived by: son, George (Linda) Brown; daughter, Laura Ann Brown; and brothers, Jack (Joanne) Phillips, Gary Phillips, and Bobby (Irene) Phillips. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Highland Memorial Funeral home from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park.
