'Jeannie' Murphy, 61 OKEECHOBEE - Barbara Jean "Jeannie" Murphy passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 at her residence. She was born January 11, 1951 in Malden, Massachusetts and moved to Okeechobee (Buckhead Ridge) 10 years ago coming from West Palm Beach, FL. She was employed with Costco for 19 years and loved to cook. Barbara was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 2036 Buckhead Ridge, VFW Ladies Auxiliary 9528 of Buckhead Ridge and Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 4509 Cypress Hut. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Edith Brant and Francis Mitchell; brothers, Billy Brant and Bobby Brant. She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Murphy of Buckhead Ridge, Fla.; daughters, Bonnie DeHoff of Jupiter, Fla., Jenny Termarsch of Lakepark, Fla., Staci Murphy of Okeechobee, Fla., Traci Moore of Wellington, Fla., Jennifer Klier of Wellington, Fla.; grandchildren, Rebecca, Jessica, Jonathon, Zachary, Adam and Tiffany; great grandchild, Julianna; brother, John "Buddy" Brant of Mass.; many nieces and nephews. The family will hold a gathering on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Buxton Funeral Home Chapel, 110 NE 5th Street, Okeechobee, Fl. A celebration of life will follow the gathering in the Iron Eagle Bar, 9441 Highway 78 West, Okeechobee.
