V.A. Medical Center Retiree AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Barbara Jean Thomason Williams of Bellemeade Drive entered into rest Monday, October 18, 2010, at Trinity Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 23, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Gardner Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Rufus Copeland officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. She was a native of Campania, Ga., a member of Gardner Grove, and a retired LPN at the VAMC after 23 years of service. Survivors are three daughters, Geleste (Kelvin) Hilton, Augusta, Deleste (Michael) Carter, Grovetown, Ga., and Shelby Williams, Atlanta, Ga.; mother, Willie Maude Thomason, Harlem, Ga.; three sisters, Bernice Sweat, Philadelphia, Pa., Beverly (Joe) Johnson, and Betty (Frank) Jennings, both of Harlem, Ga.; five grandchildren; great aunt, Ethel Mae Howard, Augusta; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
