Smith, Barbara J. CLIFTON PARK Barbara J. Smith, of Clifton Park, age 85, died Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a short illness. Barbara was born November 26, 1922 in Troy, daughter of the late Elmer and Bertha Milligan Anderson. She was the sister of the late Douglas Anderson and the wife of the late Alfred E. Smith. Barbara was in the Navy during World War II and worked in the circulation department at the Troy Record newspaper for five years. She is the mother of Brian and his wife Susan Smith of Boston, Susan and her husband Ray Nielsen of Clifton Park and Pamela and her husband John Duncan of Fla. She has eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one niece and one nephew. Calling hours Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Rte. 9, Clifton Park. Funeral service Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Schaghticoke.
